A wonderful pair of drop Victorian earrings. These gorgeous earrings are hollow with a very short drop that sit just below the ear lobe and designed in the Etruscan revival style 

Excavations during the 19th century revealed the great Etruscan necropolises, which contained beautiful items for the afterlife - including intricately wrought gold jewellery ornamented with tiny gold beads, filigree work and gems. Wealthy Victorians commissioned jewellers to make replicas - in the Etruscan Revival style
