This is an astonishingly beautiful antique ring. Crafted in a rich 15ct Gold, it features a scrolling gallery, with 6 stunning sea-green emeralds (three on each side) bordering a central firey opal.
Ornate detail surrounds the emeralds, keeping them safe in their settings and the wonderful engraving continues all the way round the band, with swirling decoration only the Victorians could master so well.
This ring is currently a UK size N 1/2, and because of its wonderfully decorated shank, I would not advise re-sizing it. It weighs 1.92g and measures 8mm accross its gallery.
It is fully hallmarked for makers mark J. A, 15ct Gold, Birmingham and the Victorian year 1868.
